Mrs. Julie Everett has joined the team at OPA-SOC as the new Dean! With an optimistic mindset and a commitment to teamwork, Julie believes incredible things are possible.
Julie holds a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education- English from New Mexico State
University and a minor in Communication Studies. She earned a Master’s Degree in Teaching
with a specialization in Reading. This degree is especially meaningful given her interest in literacy and language acquisition. Julie’s passion for learning continued with attending graduate school in Educational Leadership at California State University Fullerton and continuing education at the University of California Irvine.
Prior to serving in Administrative roles, Julie was an English Language Arts Teacher in seventh
and eighth grade in Orange County and out of state. She was fortunate to have career
opportunities as a GATE Coordinator, ASB Director, and ELD/ELA Coordinator which expanded her
love for instruction, student achievement, and social-emotional learning.
Julie enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and three labradoodles. Finding new
restaurants, going to the beach, staying dedicated to wellness, and traveling keeps their life
exciting!
