Please join us in giving a warm welcome to the new OPA-Middle School Chancellor, Mrs. Maggie Burdette.
Chancellor Burdette joins OPA from the Tustin Unified School District where she served as a middle school principal for the past 9 years. She brings a wealth of experience including time as a middle school science teacher, activities director, high school assistant principal, and even the unique experience of opening a brand-new K-8 school.
Jumping right into life at OPA, Chancellor Burdette has been busy visiting classes and meeting with students, demonstrating her commitment and belief in communication, collaboration, and taking a student-centered approach to learning. She is deeply committed to the values and educational excellence that OPA stands for and has found OPA’s reputation for fostering a nurturing and dynamic learning environment truly inspiring.
Chancellor Burdette holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and a Masters in Curriculum Development/Administration from Concordia University.
