November 20, 2020
Dear OPA Families and Staff,
Thank you all for your patience, dedication, and support of our OPA champions throughout these difficult times. As I reflect about what I am truly thankful for this season, it is definitely our OPA community. Although there have been many challenges to overcome in 2020, our students have remained focused, engaged, and on track for academic, social, and emotional success. You have all played a tremendous role in ensuring that our champions have the support they need to overcome these incredible obstacles. Thank you for all you do. I can’t express my gratitude enough!
As we look toward the holiday season, we must continue to put the health and safety of our staff, students, and families first. If you are planning to travel outside of the state or the country, we strongly encourage you to quarantine for 14 days when you return. You can reach out to the attendance office and your student’s teacher(s) to switch to virtual learning during the quarantine period so that your champion does not miss valuable instructional time. In addition, if your student attends any events with family and friends who show symptoms or become positive for COVID-19, please have them quarantine for 14 days before returning to school. Also, keep your student home and contact the attendance office if they are showing any symptoms of COVID-19. We need your help to keep our OPA community safe.
When we return from the Thanksgiving break, teachers will be finalizing report cards which will be available in the Aeries Portal on Friday, December 4, 2020.
Also, there will be no lunch service next week, but families needing breakfast and lunch over the Thanksgiving Break can visit our Nutrition Services page for information regarding other nearby locations where pick-up is available.
We hope that you all have a wonderful week off. And we sincerely thank each of you for being such an amazing part of our OPA community!
Sincerely,
The OPA Administrative Team
