In the beginning of 5th grade, I promised you that you would grow as a writer. In order to improve our writing skills, we must use our writing skills and reflect in a meaningful way. Each day, you will be given a daily writing assignment with a specific focus. Sometimes the focus may be creativity, incorporating dialogue with correct formatting, utilizing figurative language, etc. EACH daily writing assignment must be at least 10 quality sentences with proper punctuation, capitalization, and effort. IF your journal does not meet the requirements, you will not receive credit for the assignment. Daily Writing Assignments will be submitted at the end of the week, but will be checked periodically.
